We prefer that you use IMAP over POP3. Using IMAP has advantages over POP3. One major advantage is that you can check your e-mail on many different devices and all of your e-mails will be synced on any device. POP3 on the other hand, once you download an e-mail on one device you cannot get that same e-mail on another device which is also extremely dependent on your e-mail client settings.

Outgoing Port: 465 Implicit SLL/TLS (recommended)
Outgoing Port: 587 startTLS (secure)
Incoming/Outgoing Port: 25  No security (NOT RECOMMENDED)
Incoming Port: 993 Implicit SSL/TLS (recommended for IMAP)
Incoming Port: 143 No security (NOT RECOMMENDED for IMAP)
Incoming Port: 995 Implicit SSL/TLS (recommended for POP3)
Incoming Port: 110 No security (NOT RECOMMENDED for POP3)
